The Concealer Edition: Maybelline Eraser Dark Circles + My Valentine's Day Look

Are you one of these lucky women who always look fresh no matter how much sleep they got? Well, I'm not. I always have really dark under eye circles (in my opinion), although I slept for 12 hours or so. But hey, we can use a concealer for coverage. My favorite drugstore concealer for ages now is the True Match concealer by L'Oréal. But as I read so many great reviews about the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles concealer and everyone seems to rave about it, I wanted to give this one a try. I use the shade 01 light as I'm pretty pale.
I have to say that the coverage is okay, I feel like the True Match concealer gives me a little more coverage. Nevertheless, this concealer is just perfect as a highlighter if you like to contour and highlight your face to give it more dimension. It's easy to apply as it has no "lipgloss" applicator like the True Match concealer has, but I'm still not a huge fan of this applicator because it smudges a lot. We all clean our sponges and brushes, but you can't clean this one. Anyways, it works amazing for highlighting, so big thumbs up for this product.

Do you use this concealer? Which one is your favorite drugstore concealer?

01 light and 02 vanilla

  3. Hi, I have this concealer and I do like it but I think I picked up the shade that was too light. Whenever I wear it I feel like I'm way too white and glowy in that area. Think I need to go up a shade and try again!

  4. This looks fab on you, you have very lovely skin. I really want to try this concealer but the shade light is far too dark for me ;( I hope they bring more shades out in the future.

  9. I love this concealer but I agree the applicator isn't ideal - it's kind of gross! I just dot it on with that then use a proper brush to buff it in :) x
