Guest post|Style Guide: Spring Summer Trends

Spring is already halfway through and we did not even notice when it surprised us after the long winter. Do not expect it will be any different with summer. The best thing you can do is to try to quickly catch up the hottest trends for spring and summer, and look your best throughout the season. To save you the trouble of browsing through thousands of trends, we have gathered some of the best ones. Do not worry there is a bit of everything and something for everybody. Enjoy.

Ladies First
The designers have really stepped up their game this year when it comes to female clothing and accessories. We had all sorts of different trends rocking the runways, and here are the best of them.

●    The white shirt redux: It was about time for this fashion evergreen to get its Renaissance. If you have been waiting for this for a long time, thank Vera Wang, Anthony Vaccarello, Amanda Wakeley, Fendi, Issa and other brilliant minds of the fashion realm. This year, you will be wearing all sorts of takes on the classic white shirt, from a dress shirt to odd shapes and cuts showing a hint of skin.
●    The see through pieces: This season is all about wearing transparent fabrics, whether in romantic lacy variety of Preen and Simone Rocha or in Dion Lee’s, Alexander Wang’s and Tome’s spunky mesh style.
●    Slip on dresses: These ‘90s favs are back big time. Ladies, you will finally get to flaunt your sculpted figures in gentle, refined silky pieces, with a touch of lace for that extra elegance. Thank you Balenciaga.
●    Distressed jeans: As for the jeans, this season the accent is on the rips and cuts. Who needs those classic skinny jeans when you can rock the trendies look in some fabulous oversize cut-out jeans that will make up look stylish and yet feel comfortable at the same time…
●    Statement chokers: If, however, hair accessories are not your thing, you can still go with last year’s trend that remains just as hot this spring – statement choker necklaces. Everything from chains to velvet strings is optional.

Gentlemen’s Choice

Things were looking bright on the male side, too, and we could see a lot of creative clothing but also a lot of fashionable classics. Here is what men should wear this spring/summer in order to look stylish:
A bomber jacket: A perfect piece for chilly spring evenings which will give you the famous appeal of a sexy aviator heading for a mission. Do not forget to complete the look with a pair of classic aviator sunglasses.
Athleisure clothing: Who would have thought that gymclothing for men could find its way to the runway among all the other stylish trends? So, everything from shorts to dressy sweatpants is a good idea.
Cuban shirts: Just imagine Robert Redford chilling in “Havana” and you will have a clear picture of what kind of trend we are talking about. Trust us, if Raf Simons and Louis Vuitton said that it is a thing – it is a thing. So getting yourself a custom shirt is total fashion must-do!
All shades of green: Yep, everything even remotely resembling green is hot in the world of men’s fashion this season, so do not hesitate to equip your wardrobe with several emerald, olive and other shades of green clothing and accessories.
Accessorize: Male accessories are more popular than ever, and although previously they were reduced to nothing more than wrist watches, today you have a much better choice. So, this season, you should wear chunky rings, pendant necklaces, leather bracelets, and yes even fedora hats that would complement your previously mentioned Cuban shirt just perfectly.
So, there you have it, a little something for ladies and gentlemen to wear this spring and summer. Now go and enjoy all the fabulousness of your trendy style.
