The first time I saw a picture of Procida - the smallest island in the Gulf of Naples - I knew I had to visit this place that looked nearly too beautiful to be real. I love the way the pastel colored houses are carved into the cliffs. Procida will remind you of Santorin or Samos. No wonder, its architecture is Greek from origin. When visiting Procida bring your camera, it is the most picturesque place I have ever seen. Also, try out one of their famous Pescherie, since Procida used to be a fishing settlement. To get there take the ferry service from Naples, Capri or Ischia, it does not take much time. Also, Procida is an ideal place to explore on foot. Definitely worth a one-day excursion!
