At-home face mask with Healing Clay

Clays have been used for centuries as  facial masks. I heard already Cleopatra used clay as a part of her beauty ritual. In Germany medicinal clays have been used in health spas for a very long time. I use clay masks by the brand Luvos, the mixture consists mostly of loess, water and oil. Loess is a mixture of sand, clay and silt. So all ingredients are natural and also vegan. This product is mostely geared towards people with comination to oily or acne-prone skin. I have combination skin and fortunately only sometimes a few breakouts. Healing clay gently cleans deep into the pores and removes the skin of any blemishes and pollutants. After this mask my skin feels so soft and smooth!

Apply all the clay on your face and/or neck, except the part of your lips and the eye area. Leave this mask on your face for 10 to 15 minutes. Let the mask dry on your face. Don't worry, some parts of your mask will flake off. After the 10 to 15 minutes rinse the mask off with warm water or rub the mask down with a towel. For me it's easier to remove the mask with warm water. To get rid of all the clay on my face I sometimes I use my facial cleanser by Olive, a Korean brand.

My skin care tips:
  1. Avoid wearing too much make-up, no one is perfect. Embrace your skin and let it breath
  2. Always make sure to cleanse your face properly before sleeping, never go to bed with make-up on your face
  3. Drink lots and lots of water!
  4. Try to get enough sleep a night, I need 7 to 8 hours
  5. Avoid stress, it can impact your skin
  6. Eat healthy

I hope you found this information helpful. Feel free to leave your favorite skin care products or tips below in the comments. It's always nice hearing from you!
