How to DIY a pair of distressed jeans

I'm all about distressed aka ripped jeans right now. They always give every outfit an edgy touch, make a girly or glam look style suitable for a daily look. I'm sure you all have a pair of denim in your closet you completely forgot about. So I'll show you how to transform them into your personal designed distressed jeans. It takes some time but it's easy and so worth it ☺
You'll need
  • your jeans (anything close to 100% cotton works the best)
  • scissors
  • shaving razor (optional)
  • tweezers
  • chalk
  • your washing machine
Cut your jeans to the length you want it to be. The best is to try on the jeans to measure where the knees are. Mark with the chalk the areas you want to distress (2). You can either cut with a pair of scissors or use a razor. I made two openings side by side about 1-2 inches apart (3). Then take your tweezers and start pulling out the blue individual threads. Make sure you keep the white threads! (4,5) When you're done, all you need to do is throwing your denim in the washing machine.  That makes the distressed look even more perfect (6).
I'm really happy how my new good old jeans look. Try it yourself and let me know what you think ☺
