The beginning of a new year gives the chance to reflect last year, not only personally, but also beauty related. Therefore, I was asking myself: What were my most used and most loved beauty products of 2016? Since I always stick to products that I swear by, I tried to pick products out of hair care, skincare and makeup that I discovered last year (so you will not get bored ☺)

Sheet masks have been my absolute favorite in 2016. They are super easy to use since you only have to put the mask on your face. There is no need for a brush nor need to mix some powder with water. I really like the tissue masks by Garnier, they are really hydrating. Well, it has been a journey with Hope in a Jar by Philosophy. First, I was not so impressed by this moisturizer, it was too sticky and smelled kind of rotten. I have no idea how I was ever thinking that because the smell is gone and the moisturizer does a great job in making my skin super soft. Eye creams. The eye cream has never been a product that I was not using on a regular basis, but with learning more about skincare over the last time I found it to be basic. The eye cream I was using in 2016 is the All About Eyes by Clinique. Micellar Water is the only thing I want to take my makeup off after a long day. There is no more gentle way. I find the range of Garnier and Bioderma great, but currently use one by Neutrogena. I also loved the body cream Honey Touch by Rituals. I have to say that it is not the best in hydration, but smells like heaven!

Last year I found my personal favorite dry shampoo. I used to buy Baptiste dry shampoos a lot, but since I started using the Volume dry shampoo by Aussie, I do not want to use another one, it smells great, but is a little sticky. Still, I love it. I bought the Absolute Repair Shampoo by Dessange because of their ads all over my Instagram feed (@Dessange, it worked!), I really like this shampoo and I can definitely recommend it.

I do not have to mention nor say anything about Love Story by Chloé, it has been my favorite perfume over years. One perfume, but definitely not a new one that I discovered in 2016 is Glow by JLo. It is a feminine, clean and powdery smell, just the way I like it. Finally, the last one that is no perfume, but I did not know how to classify it. My holy grail deodorant, the Origninal by Dove.

Liquid lipsticks have been a must-have in 2016. I tested and tried a lot by different brands, but the most worn is Lace Detail by Nyx, the perfect matte nude shade. I have also been rocking The Nudes by Maybelline , particularly shade #2, a taupe matte color.
